Hi everyone,
I am new to AVR micro controller.I want to know the best compiler for AVR micro controller.Kindly tell me the compiler name.

there are many compilers for AVR, and you can choose any according to your requirement.

The newest version is AVR studio; which is more user friendly, and has many features compare to other compilers; like you can compile, convert and upload the coding with just a click.
There is also WinaAVR, which is not that bad! it is just like a C compiler; just that for each program, you should have a "makefile" separately where you have to specify the port number, the c program file name, the frequency of the clock in your microcontroller, etc.
where as for AVR studio, you just have to select the type of AVR microcontroller, and all the parameters will be fixed automatically!
But since you are new to the AVR MCU, you better use AVRstudio.
